I don't want to get in a whole thing here but I just often hear this from the left that China is capitalist. It's well known the state has large ownership in tons of companies there. Any time I go there for conference any proprietary materials left in hotel rooms are likely to get searched by the government. The capital goods are not in private hands. So how do you guys reach this conclusion.

 

I wouldn't ages with a leftist who says that China is a capitalist nation. It has some capitalist principles bit the country is a full on authoritarian nation. Call it communism.
