Here is yet another example of how empty this "scandal" is and how dishonest trump supporters are in desperately pushing in their October surprise chips to try to tarnish Joe Biden...

 

The mass censorship yesterday was cool.

 

Private entities choosing to not allow entities spreading false information in advance of a major election... wow, at least you aren't accusing them of infringing on "freedom of speech" or a "free press".

 

Likely not false, but hopefully they keep that energy the next time someone creates a trump dossier.

 

It's not a big news story because most knew it was BS when Trump and Rudy tried hard to get Ukrainian gov to issue a fake news worthy coverage and report for him to damage Biden. Straight out inviting foreign gov to interfere in our election. Remember it was the back channel and holding of money and military aids to Ukraine for political personal gain that got him impeached.

Now, as for this story in NYP. Yick. It is so full of obvious holes that it was easy for Twitter and FB to stop the spread of it pretty quickly. I don't know what to think of the posters that think it's worthy of spreading. Are they trolling? Do they know this is BS but hoping it could be politically advantageous for Trump? Are they so blinded that they suspended every ounce of critical thinking?

 

And yet every person who wanted to read or learn about the dubious, politicized allegations in the article could still do so. I’m not aware of any search engine that censored links to the article.

Russian interference in the 2016 election, in favor of the Trump campaign, is a well corroborated allegation. Evidence of how they may have tried to achieve that through interaction with Trump campaign associates is legitimate and relevant news.

There is no evidence that Biden was trying to fire a prosecutor for investigating Burisma, and the NY Post article is attempting to lead readers who are otherwise inclined to believe it into drawing that conclusion.

So there’s that difference. There’s also the difference in timing (Steele dossier came up in 2017, this comes up shortly before a Presidential election), and further this story is based on purported information that was collected by hacking into someone’s private email which violates Twitter policy as of 2018.

 

For whatever reason, this story has no traction and appears completely made up.

 

So it's ok unless it's election season.

I am pointing out the differences, since you were trying to draw a comparison. Timing is a relevant factor. Social media can be used as a tool to subvert the democratic process through the spread of misinformation, and these tech companies should be extra vigilant and cautious about allowing their platforms to spread contentious information shortly before important elections. Do you disagree with any of that?

The emails were supposedly taken from a personal computer that was dropped off at a computer repair shop. Why person working at the shop thinks he is authorized to go rummaging through personal files on the computer, I don’t know. If Twitter has a policy against news articles that quote from personal documents obtained in that manner, then they have every right to enforce it. I don’t consider that censorship.

 

Who gives a **** if he smoked meth (it is a meth pipe btw).... is that any less classy than Donald Trump raw dogging a paid w**** while his life was recovering from giving birth to their son?

If you don't like Joe Biden, that is fine....... but I have to say the fact that THIS is the best that the Republicans can come up with a month from the election is really telling.

I have to think there is actually something a real substance that the Justice Department can find to implicate Biden. Is it possible Biden REALLY is this clean? That would be note worthy. Go poke around Fast and Furious, that was a legitimate scandal and the Obama administration did screw up.

However until this, this is all hilarious and pathetic to all those except the staunch Republicans.
