Clutch is at the TC and just called me to say the Rockets are keeping Brooks. Adelman is raving about his speed and the need for that in today's NBA. They dodged questions about having so many point guards on the roster, trades, etc.

That is all for now. Go nuts, freaks. :)

    that TOTALLY sucks!!!

We could have gotten him in the second round ... if he was so important, why didnt we buy one of the late 1st round picks available and trade for a couple higher 2nd rounders ... our guards are short enough ... not another shrimp.

We got him instead of Diogu? or Splitter, McRoberts, Davis, Green, Koponen,

I would have done the deal with LA sending Head for Cook, swapping our #26 for the #19, and getting Crittendon or Fernandez.

All this talk that we were going to be active ... or that we would move up ... what a waste ... (shaking head)

That's good. This demonstrates how much Adelman is really wanting somebody that is going to push the ball up the court. Hopefully we can still get somebody that will really help us at power forward! It would really have been nice to have a higher second round draft pick!

I'm fine with this pick! I suspect the Rockets are going to move either VSpan and or Rafer. James/Brooks!

I'm speechless about this unless we make a deal to get a power forward. Absolutely ridiculous, and I watched this guy play all year. We got James, Alston, Lucas, Spanoulis, and now him? Give me a break Rockets, for once do the right damn thing.

I like the pick, although it definitely broadsided me. What this says is that we are almost DEFINITELY trading for a PF now. Once we do that, our roster looks pretty nice.

    JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This doesn't make sense?

U already know the NFL version of Aaron Brooks sucks, so why draft the NBA one.

Is Brooks was a reach, does anyone know how he compares to Bobby Brown?

Why didn't we take Splitter? He be the perfect fit next to Yao @ PF, who would have been a lottery pick if not for buyout issues??

yeah not a huge difference to me. I still believe a trade will happen...i mean we HAVE to clear up the glut of 6 foot guards. I don't mind Brooks if a couple of other guys are moved

I got a chance to watch him alot last year, and that guy is a helluva scorer. He is fearless, very clutch, very quick, and a very good shooter. I have no problem with us keeping this pick if Rafer is traded because i think with Adelmans offensive style this kid can surprise many people

It's pretty obvious to me the de-Gundification process wasn't thorough enough.

Let's see what happens. The GM must know something. Davis and McRoberts are still on the board.
