is it the best show ever? No. But damn it was entertainment. https://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/teenage_bounty_hunters even the critics love this one.
Had no idea what this show was about other than Cavil whom I am a fan of. Easily one of the Top 3 worst shows I have ever seen. Cringeworthy bad.
to each their own. But apparently most people disagree with you - see RT, imdb and other review sites.
It’s shot in a very strange, unique way. You get the full effect if you watch the whole season. The books are also written by an Eastern European author so the background folklore and culture is sort of alien compared with most Western fantasy. I liked the show. Refreshing.
Lmao the critics say it's mediocre, folks here are divided, love or hate it. I just watch because of that sorceress and her goodies. Spoiler @Jontro
Wasn't too happy with who they chose for Tris. I guess it's more by the book than the game. Most of the actresses could look better. Yenniver isn't bad but not "most beautiful woman people would goto war over" great. She makes more than enough of it with her acting, though I hope the on film chemistry between the two grows over time.. It's alright in a Xena/Hercules kind of Saturday afternoon content programming, but the crazy ordering + binge watching means I only recall ~20% of what happened in the series.
I thought it was entertaining Triss in the show was boring but maybe next season she’s more lively I imagine Ciri would also improve
Aaand they did it again for season 2, casting Mecia Simmons for the role of a blonde elf with blue eyes (while also casting Frida for a different role, who would've been a much better fit). I get that there should be more minorities in shows and movies, but don't butcher the source material just to pander to the social media warriors who aren't even attached to the franchise.
Depends on how the source material (book) author intended the character appearance to impact the story, character interaction, etc. Way more leeway in a fantasy setting than in a contemporary setting, IMO. The only thing that triggers my OCD is remote village or population with a mixed group of races. I mean, if there are a few hundred people there and they've been isolated for hundreds of years, they're all going to interbreed and be more or less similar in skin color, less variances in hair and eye color. But it's fiction, so whatever.
Same! I didn't like the casting at first, but she ends up carrying the series imo, easily the best actor of the bunch.
A Polish book will have one kind of look. Portals and magic saves the day... Or maybe they're incredibly racist and bigoted elves with an extremely rigid caste system. Yeah, uhh magic and portals
cant remember if I've commented in here or not . I thought it was pretty entertaining, 8/10 . I had never played the game so my knowledge was 0 going in . I think that might've made it better. Its always exciting to delve into a new fantasy world
