It’s completely different universes There are no mutants in game of thrones No monster hunters They can teleport through portals instead riding dragons or taking boats
Witcher is more Lord of the Rings with dwarves, elves, undead, dragons, and all sorts of races than GOT is to a drama show with just dragons and undead
Was a great way to spend 3 days after New Years. Netflix found their Stranger Things replacement. Great series.
Don't get me wrong. I knew they were different ideas involved. I picked up on the differences, although, after those last seasons of GOT, I might be able to argue the point on travelling through portals!!!
Lol yeah last season had some magical logistic issues. The big thing about the Witcher series it won’t have the issue of where the show runners ran out of source material cause the writer didn’t finish the last book
Expecting every show to be the next Breaking Bad or GoT is just setting yourself up for disappointment. Just enjoy new stuff for what it is.
I don't know, man. I didn't think it was all that great. I was starting to get into it until golden, ventriloquist dragon. I don't think it ever recovered.
Lmao no BB by a mile. It’s the only show that managed to get better every season . That is something extremely hard to so
As I am scraping the bottom of the streaming barrel at this point, tried this show out. Have not read the books or even heard of the game either. I enjoyed it. Give it a “B”. It was a bit disjointed but overall it was pretty enjoyable and will watch a second season.
I think I will give the witcher a try again, 1st time through it did not catch my fancy but I usually love shows like this.
on RT, it has 67% from critics, but 92% form audience. I fall on the audience side. Thought it was great... one of the "great" ones, such that you watch some other not so great ones and start thinking to yourself... "why am i watching this??". One that just came out - Teenage Bounty Hunters... VERY GOOD! We watched that this week, then started thinking about watching other stuff that was clearly not going to be as good and were like "why even start this crap?"
Yeah when I wa watching it I was looking for something to grab me and it jut did not but I think I only watched 1 episode and for some reason it was a bit of a chore. That's why I read this thread to see what others thought, I like Cavill and love Dark Fantasy stuff so I will give it another try. Don't know is TBH is for me, not really a dramedy guy unless it done very well and it's hard for me to get past DFP (Dumb **** Premise) which that seems to have.
