Apparently this chick was in Harry Potter but suffers from the looking better when I was younger syndrome She’s not bad but she needs to be on par with Yennefer
I don't really mind since I never played the games and have no idea on the source content, but the memes are pretty funny. Although I thought she was an elf since they made elves black? But then Filavandrel was white. So I'm not sure.
That's the cool thing about the Witcher, like Humans, Elves, Dwarfs, Sorcerers, etc can have many races. For some reason, fantasy series act as if one race has to be attributed to one magical creature. Blame Tolkien I guess.
Since I too have never read the books, and never played the games, I wasn't paying attention to the roll out and news of this show. I did a deep dive into how fans felt about the diversity... Oh Boy, they were not pleased last year at all. Did not realize there was such a backlash to the casting when the characters were first announced. I mean, I guess I should have known. Par for the course.
Show is still good Can’t hate on black elves They got black Vulcans on Star Trek Remember that dude Tuvac ? Me against the universe
It doesn't help that there's still a very vocal gamergate presence out there that thrives on this toxicity. Like you mentioned, their fandom for the games forces them to be stans for the show even if the casting drives them nuts.
Like the cast a lot. Everyone is delivering including the bard. I can finally understand the characters from Witcher 3 and the game plot. So that is a blessing. The humor and banter are great. The plot is interesting, but Ciri’s power right now is kind of lame. Like the actress though. Think it’s delivering. The law of surprises was hilarious.
I liked the Mandalorian but man were the episodes short as hell minus the finale. Wish it had Witcher runtimes.
@Jontro There's something they invented called "GOOGLE' where if you use it, you can find out things like The shows are based on the books and the games are events WAY AFTER THE BOOKs But go ahead with your lazy conclusions
