Out of curiosity are you or General I talked to a Spaniard a few months ago and the topic came up. He said in the past gays tended to vote strongly for the left, but now they generally vote based on their class or tax rate. This is one of the fallacies of the Dems always pushing identity or cultural issues.
Will we soon see once again the day when the Catholic Church will return to classical Christianity with its emphasis on social justice helping the poor and not vote in lockstep with the Evangelicals who lol refuse to see Catholics as Christians?
I just realized he supports civil unions but probably rejects legitimizing same sex marriage. Wasn't this the conservative (and until recently, Democrat) position for the last 15 years? When you move to Europe?
Good for the Pope. He's absolutely right and his reasoning makes total sense. It is exactly the way that Jesus would act and what he would advocate.

I am not a huge fan of Catholicism in the first place but this is by far the worst Pope in my lifetime. I do not know enough about the history to say if he is the worst Pope ever but I am sure he ranks up there.

Homosexual are children of god and has rights and shouldn’t be miserable. But they aren’t welcome in my club. It’s progress.
There are many reasons but the subject of this thread is a MAJOR one. Saying there are multiple ways to Heaven is another Major one. There are far to many to list.
Hmm... what is wrong with gay people having legal unions? I mean assuming that legal unions provide the same legal protections and rights that married people have (eg. access to health benefits, signing contracts such as wills, etc)?
