I do not believe that anyone can question the toughness of Dwight without sounding like a jack***. Dwight has missed 23 games in 10 years in the NBA. He is an iron man. This is not the playoffs. It is the regular season. Everyone is being cautious. Rushing Dwight back only to see him re-aggravate his knee would be a real disaster and fans would be calling for McHale's head. And perhaps it would be justified.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>McHale says Dwight Howard is likely out for the weekend, which means he will miss at least 3 more games (including tonight).</p>— ClutchFans (@clutchfans) <a href="https://twitter.com/clutchfans/status/540283969925697536" data-datetime="2014-12-03T23:18:31+00:00">December 3, 2014</a></blockquote> <script src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
If he doesn't come back or give some sort of timetable after these 3 games I am going to seriously start wondering about this.
Maybe he could use his...third leg? Clutchfans b****ing because our franchise big man won't rush back from a leg injury. Because Clutchfans are stupid and never learn anything.
Centers typically do not age very gracefully. All the more important to do everything possible to keep Dwight healthy.
