All CF's there should chip in and get a room in a hotel downtown No point driving in this rain. Chances are you're car will be 80% flooded and you will be left homeless like me
sprinted to my car right after final buzzer instead of listening to the announcement inside Toyota Center that recommended folks wait it out. Luckily only one of the streets I turned on at 288 + Holcombe was suspect at the time (which was around 11:10PM).
We live north of Houston and we were under a tornado warning from the start of the game...it continued to pour here until after the game ended. This storm lasted over 2 hours. It will be awhile before they leave Toyota Center. And it sounds like phase 2 is about to start up here.
still some lightning and thunder here. cant sleep. heard them say on tv at one point 1000 lightnings hit downtown in 10 minutes? that's crazy.
Stuck in downtown. Probably a good 5000 people here. They have the weather channel on here on the big screen.
Was at the game, only stayed like 15 min past game. They advised staying at Toyota Center but with that amount of rain.... You need to get out or risk being stick. I live in Missouri City and 288 and beltway 8 were smooth sailing.
Do not go through Travis if you're headed north. It is extremely flooded in the underpass. I took 59 to go up north. It was a safe drive, but one exit was flooded badly.
btw,,,I'm now 8-0 when one of my many nieces/nephews goes to the game with me. 3-0 this playoff season
Haha. Rockets fans are ruining the post game call in on 790 with directions on avoiding flooding. I understand it's a tough situation but no one is going to follow the complicated paths being suggested. Really weird playoff game! Dwight is apparently on the floor. Would be cool to be there.
