Got home safely, even without a 4x4. Avoid I-10 west bound, take 45-610-290 if you go northwest, or 59-610-i10 if you go katy direction. 290 is pretty good, surprisingly.
Good luck, guys. For some sick reason, I'm at work, but driving here in this mess (and INSANE lightning, the likes of which I've never seen), I could not tell which roads were flooded and which were fine until I was in the water. Too dark. Luckily, I have an AWD Rav4, but it was still a bit scary. Stay put until light. You won't know what's going on in the dark.
I talked my way into a luxury box to ride it out. what? helps to have a 19 yr old niece with you. we don't get turned away.

I did...he was gone, down to the tunnel/locker room .... the media dicks still in the area said...."Who? You aren't allowed back here." must be California dudes.
I took my chances and tried to get on I-10 near Fannin not too long after the game but had to turn back because of high water. I then went south to see if I could get on 59 only to be thwarted by high water again. Luckily, my dad lives a bit south of downtown so I finally gave up and just went to his house. I was hoping the weather would die down so I could get home but it's looking pretty damned pointless at this time. I am just going to have a few beers and watch Band of Brothers. Hopefully this weather lightens up. I don't want to deal with flooded properties tomorrow. That ain't any fun...
