The Rockets have to be extremely careful. Bynum and Howard have both flopped and torpedoed their stock. I would be okay with Josh Smith but hope they know what they're doing if they're truly considering Bynum/Howard.

Torpedoed their stock, you say? As in, a buy low opportunity?

If ClutchFans got their way, we'd acquire none of them.

Harden is starting to get worn down as the end of the season approaches, we need a 2nd star badly

ESPN Writer: Oh **** my "West Conference" section needs another few hundred words. Guess I'll just do a thing on the Rockets, that's a team everyone likes. Hmm, they have cap space, let me just list every big name free agent in the summer, add "sources" and voila!

If its Bynum and Smith together, then that means the Rockets feel they can get him without shelling out the max? I can only see them going after Bynum if they feel they can get him at a bargain price.

    My personal offer.

To Howard: Max money + whatever stupid whiny extras he wants.
    To Bynum: 1yr/$15mil+1yr/15mil TEAM OPTION
To Josh Smith: 4yr/$50mil, and then use remaining capspace to keep Delfino/Brooks on their team options. Then swing a trade for a 3rd star/semi-star player.

Which means, if I were running the Rockets, we likely just keep our capspace for 2014.

Yes. Harden looked exhausted in the second half last night.

Huh? You won't get Howard for anything less than a max contract no matter how low his stock is this summer

Honestly, I don't want any of them, is it possible to use our cap space to get high draft pick?

Smith, seems a bit too selfish and reckless with the ball to the point, I don't know if he and Harden could possibly co-exist as a legit Championship contender. Harden might be willing to step back, but Harden seems to be the better player meaning Smith should take the back seat, which I doubt he would.

Howard and Bynum are both damaged goods IMO, Howard has gotten two coaches fired in less then a year and hasn't been near the impactful player many like to make him out to be to a franchise. Bynum is a walking disaster and like Smith doesn't seem the type to take a backseat without a Kobe Bryant like individual personality to keep him in check.

Seriously, Kevin Love or LaMarcus Aldridge would be better fits for the team and have greater potential for getting this franchise back to being a title winner.

This. Plus, I like how they shoe horned Zach Lowe's name and actually good article onto this blurb to try and lend it Zach's credibility.
