Omg yes please. We can fly Brooks over there for a personal meeting with Prokhorov no less so that they can work out an extension while they're at it.
The Nets are desperate to just be relevant. IDK this may die down but...with Morey you never know. He does a good job on prying on teams that are desperate like the Knicks of last year. Favors hasn't really done anything though and at this point with Brooks playing a bit better the past few games he's not even worth trading Brooks for straight up IMO no matter how much we dislike Brooks at times. But definitely I think they would rather get rid of Favors over Lopez. The worst part is it would take something like that just to get what has been a bust so far on his potential but it would put us in pure rebuilding mode right away and at least we'd have a direction.
The fact that anybody is enamored with Brooks = sold. I suspect they just want to dump Devin Harris though.
Yeah, this should be a WIN-WIN for both teams if Favors is in the deal. But, I'm not confident they will trade Favor's as it looks like they want to go with young players with upside.
I could imagine that their thinking is that they would want to do that rumored Devin Harris trade with the Mavs and then somehow get Brooks, who is a somewhat similar player, at least in terms of quickness, at a much cheaper price than Harris.
If thats the case there will be no Brooks for the nets. I really don't see what else they could trade that would steal Brooks away but Favors.

They have the draft picks to make it happen. At this point, that's probably our best bet for moving him. Unless, of course, the Nets REALLY are enamored with Scola to the point where they would move Favors + whatever for Brooks + Scola. Like or or not, that's a deal we would have to take.
