Assuming Lin and Bev are both on the roster next season anyway, and I would bet quite a bit that they won't be. Hopefully Lin will be gone. He's been far, far too inconsistent and his average level of production is just flat out unimpressive. Maybe he fits better on a different team.
We're not going to keep Lin as a backup. We're gonna try to trade him; let's hope someone takes him. His salary shouldn't be a problem. He's a pretty big draw.
i'm not a lof.... far from it but lin > Beverly he's a solid backup, but lin has serious potential, a good offseason and you guys will see.
His draw is a lot lower after this season. Maybe NY will still want him? I don't think we'll be able to move him with that contract. But yes, Beverley is the new starter.
His 4-11 shooting tonight with no FTs and no assists against arguably some of the worst defensive PGs in the league was really impressive. You wanna be reasonable and let there be a PG competition in training camp, fine. He played well this series considering the circumstances, but he wasn't Chris Paul out there...
If Bev's going to be a starter he's going to have to tone it down on defense. Picks up fouls way too easily. He doesn't do much offensively either.
Bev will be the starter next year. Just get ready for 3 fouls after every first quarter and avg 3 assists a game from your PG.
Knee jerk thread.. They are both young players that work extremely hard toget better every season. Granted the fact that Lin was injuried. Btw Lin played outstanding D. Only flaw he was injuried and couldn't cut hard to the basket. Than there was a turnover miscommunication because Greg smith likes to lolly gag and fiddle his thumb all day. In other words, they will compete for the starting job.. Nothing is givin. Quit putting posting threads like a noob.
You gotta be joking me if you think Lin deserves to start over Beverley after these playoffs. (looks at your join date) Ok I get it now
Hopefully Lin is gone and Bev is still the backup. CP3 and Dwight ... We need a post presence and we need a true floor general.
I'm not convinced PatBev is a starting PG. He's only got one speed; much more of a prototypical bench guy. Gets into foul trouble, takes bad risks, but if you ask him to control himself, less effective. I think we explore other options and leave Bev on the bench.
one time, a wise man told me, the faster you draw conclusion on things the less educated you are. Still true.
