I wanna go on record predicting Winston and Mariota will be huge draft busts. Both will show flashes of greatness early in their careers but will ultimately fail to develop into franchise QBs by their third season.
I don't understand why people think Mariota is an NFL QB. The guy sounds awkward in interviews, doesn't seem confident at all. And how is he going to play in the pocket? I think Chip is going after him just to try to disprove the notion that the Oregon offense is a gimmick that can't work in the NFL.
I will be very underwhelmed if we go DB in the 1st Round, after re-signing Jackson. Hopefully we roll the dice with Gurley/Gordon or WR.
Last year it was about 85 minutes from the 1st to 16th (I just checked YouTube). I'm expecting it to start after 7:00 so probably 8:30-8:45.
Here's what I think: if you are an nfl team (especially the titans) and you don't gamble on Mariota, you aren't going to win a superbowl or come close to one. The last time the Titans gambled on a qb was Steve McNair and that's the last time they sniffed the playoffs. Can you build a good team with a bunch of draft picks? Sure. Whether or not Marcus Mariota is any good is irrelevant. The whole point is thay your team is irrelevant without a franchise qb and you do what you got to do to get one.
