This is what the Titans turned down.

What package are #Eagles talking about to go to No. 1 or No. 2? Perriman. Meh, would honestly have preferred Devin Smith or Dorsett instead of him. Major boom or bust player.
Patriots had a great selection with Brown. Perfect replacement for Wilfork. Belichick got a another gem late in the first round.
I think this Johnson dude will be able to keep up with the WR's that burn us with speed. We soo desperately need a CB that can match that problem we couldn't overcome and lost us games last year at least 2-3 games.
cam newton wasnt mature either when he came out of florida and auburn.... PEOPLE CHANGE.. give him a chance
Why would anyone compare Cam Netwon to Jamies? They are two entirely different types of QB. Cam Newton is a mediocre NFL QB. He doesn't have the accuracy to make throws at the 2nd level. Jameis is a much more a student of the game with a high football IQ, he has a lot of the intangibles that Andrew Luck has, but his questionable decisions off the field makes it a gamble to bank on him ever living up to that sort of potential.
He'll have his chance, but getting accused of rape, standing on a table in front of everyone shooting f in the p, etc, etc is more than just about maturity. Jameis Winston has some serious issues to overcome. If he has early NFL success and finds a comfort zone, will his head remain screwed on? I have serious doubts. His character issues are far worse than Cam's. IMO, you do a disservice to Cam by bringing him into this conversation.
I'm reserving judgment until I see how they end up with tonight. Still a lot of holes to fill on this roster. Cooper is who I wanted all along. Stunned that they went with him over Williams, but happy.
I don't recall Cam Newton sending a picture of himself with a laptop immediately after getting drafted. I think the combination of poor decisions with the lackluster sophmore year make him a huge risk. Quarterbacks are faces of the franchise. You want them to be high character guys (or at least be capable of appearing that way).
