Kostas is just smart. He knows how to get the ball into the post, he knows when to drive, when to shoot, when to dribble and pass. Once he gets more comfortable with his role and the speed of the game, he will be our Ginobli. If he can shoot a little better from the 3, he can easily be 6th man of the year.

Ariza is da gawd and Papa his prophet

 

The ability to drain the 3 with consistency will really elevate him. If guys have to overplay him, he's the type of player that will have a field day slashing. For a guy only 5 games into his NBA career, his awareness is spectacular.

While I think it's unrealistic to expect him to be Ginobilli good, when you check out Ginobilli's rookie numbers it just emphasizes how big the NBA adjustment is. Through 29 games, Ginobilli was shooting just 39% and 27% from 3.

If Pap was a stock I'm buying.

I think this guy will fully breakout next year.

This about Papdog is that he seemed to adjust so quickly to the NBA game. Can't remember many foreigners being that fluid that fast.

 

Sadly after next year's season he's free to go.

Both Ariza and Papa don't have a clue how to finish at the rim.

 

This was not the game to bump a big papa thread

 

But Parsons really helped us this game.

 

Ariza with the huge interception at the end. And McHale going with the trio of SFs Ariza-Papa-Garcia for the lockdown defense at the end. Harden and DMo played great defense too at the end.

DMo's defense is looking more solid than his offense at this point. Teammates and coaches starting to trust DMo. At least no Black at the end.

 

Either they learn to finish with contact, or they learn floaters or pull-up jumpers.

I'm mildly concerned about how badly Ariza has been offensively lately. Didn't expect his hot start to continue, but he's been straight up broke for almost 3 weeks now. Needs to get back to that 40% range.

 

Ariza still shooting 39% from 3s. Good but he needs to help the team out a little more by scoring without Dwight.

 

K-PAP DA GAWD is a free agent again!
