That's cute, you have to edit my response. It's okay, it's pretty obvious you are over your head.

Good. We'll let Japan defend itself. Build its own navy. Because you know China has done such a great job of protecting itself from Japan in the past.

Like I said, China needs the US more than the US needs China.

Rhetoric does not keep Japan from amassing amassing into a military juggernaut. It takes the dedication and sacrifice of US military personnel to do so. Have a little respect.

ur too un-informed, not understanding that Japan has enough difficulty just keeping its economy on life-support.

Japan's economy has been stuck in mud / on thin ice for the past ~26 years. For more than a generation, its economy has been on shaky grounds, as evidenced by its continual need to administer economic morphine (QE) in order to keep it on life-support.

Many Millennials can't fathom the fact that
Japan was once an economic power house w the 2nd largest GDP in the world,
an elite currency manipulator that is capable of overtaking the US as having the largest GDP

they just know that Japan is forever in need of more QE.
it'd behoove you to venture outta the cave sometimes !

Actually, Rex Tillerson just convinced President Donald Trump to tell Chinese President Xi Jinping that he would respect the "One China" policy

the White House said in a statement, "President Trump agreed, at the request of President Xi, to honor our 'One China' policy,", adding that the two leaders had "extended invitations to meet in their respective countries."

In a swift response, Xi embraced the announcement on the highly sensitive issue which had cast a pall over relations after Trump suggested it was up for negotiation.

I applaud Trump's decision to put "America first"

I'm just not sure if he'll maintain this message

One thing Trump doesn't like is being ignored. He couldn't stand the silent treatment from Xi...

but good for him to come to the realization of how dumb he was and corrected his mistake

It's pretty apparent that we have a president whom we can neither believe nor trust in any public utterance.

China has the trump card on the Orange Duce.

The state-owned Central Bank of China has loaned Trump hundreds of millions of dollars. The New York Times had reported that American companies owned by Trump have at least $650 million in debt and the Bank of China is among the lenders.
    $$$ talks, such leverage

It's about your post saying Trump should be tough on China. On the contrary, he's knuckling under to China, as some of us said he would from page 1. He's in debt to Chinese banks.

He's in debt so the Chinese banks told him to stop bullying China and he buckled? Sounds like a leapfrog to me. You know businessmen in debt is normal right? There are things like debt financing. And I don't see any of this negating the validity of my previous points. You guys have had a massive knee-jerk reaction, as has China. How about we wait for concrete policy on the South China Sea and tariffs?

Nope. Trump kissed China's ass, far from "putting them on a leash," as you fantasized.
