Nope QE deals with the money supply.

China still has terrible demographics. How many premature deaths due to pollution? China has serious issues.

I just find it amusing that people are SO UPSET over a phone call. Kind of reminds me of Blazing Saddles.

Again it's 2016. Why would the 1990s be relevant to China in 2016?

The Chinese are trying to get away with as much **** as they can before Trump becomes president. However, I feel that the Chinese are going to pounce on this "fake" intel that the CIA has been passing around (about Trump's stay in Russia). They'll likely seize it as an opportunity to further aggress against Taiwan and every other South China Sea country.

Trump will start off politically weak due to the ongoing uncertainties about CIA intel, as well as Russia's role in hacking the DNC's servers. If you are China, why not aggravate Taiwan? There is a large part of the US population that will oppose everything Trump: including the defense of a democratic and sovereign nation against a totalitarian oligarchy.

are you so un-informed, not knowing that Taiwan needs China a lot more than China needs Taiwan.

China and Taiwan may be many things, stupid they're not. Economics will run its course, re-unification is inevitable !

China needs the US far more than the US needs China. Rex Tillerson just gave China a big FU. Diplomacy will run its course.

The Taiwanese will risk war then be unified. The status-quo will remain baring so crazy person changing the political landscape drastically. There is a better chance that China modernize to a point where it is more resemblance of Taiwan democracy, and that chance is close to nill in the foreseeable future.

No one knows the future, what happens if in 50 years China is the number one power like the US is today and the two sides have very tight economical relationships and many people from both side migrate to the other side? Israel came back after two thousand years.

If China is number one and even a strong democracy, there aren't many compelling political reasons for Taiwan to reunify.

This status quo is as good as it gets with the current regime. A recognized nation state wouldn't change too much economically for the Taiwanese, even if it feels better to have status. That comes at the cost of many major things.

The main reason for them to reunite would be a **** economy rather than ethnic pride.

I agree with you on that. For the foreseeable future, the status quo is going to hold.

his boss has steadfastly said that he wants to pull out of NATO and make Japan and Taiwan pay for protection.

resorting to generic claims, lacking in details, like Trump's ACA replacement claim.

    in 2016,
    • China's economy grew 6-7 %,
    • China's currency gained admission to the elite club of IMF reserve currencies, w SDR priviledge
      • It marks the first time a new currency has been added since the euro was launched in 1999.

if only you can back up your rhetoric w some details !

Already provided my evidence, you merely brushed aside and rambled and Changs and Chongs. Nothing you said there disprove China has a toxic debt problem.
