At the end of the day it's Thon Maker and the coach of the Milwaukee Bucks is the same guy that coached a non-superstar Hawks team to 60 wins. If a coach like Budenholzer can't maximize whatever Thon can give then I am thinking Thon is not really a maker of anything worthwhile.
Everyone on that Bucks roster has played better under Budenholzer this year than they did last year. Giannis, Bledsoe, Brogdon, etc. What's Maker's excuse? That he's not getting playing time? Doesn't that say more about him that he's getting his minutes taken away from Brook Lopez, a center that can barely grab 6 boards a night?

Except Middleton who has been playing far worse because he cant adapt to a motion offence system. To be fair Thon has a talent which is that he has very fast feet and is able to switch to guards. That is his main use and why he was used in the playoffs when the team used more of a switching defence.
Thanks @malakas . At the end of the day Maker's potential is dependent on playing time which the Rockets can't provide barring some catastrophic injury to our bigs.
Well for one Bud coaches defence too, he is not a one way coach, and manages to turn many trash players into useful rotational pieces. He protects the health of his players by playing them only around 30 minutes and uses big rotations.

MDA has been a pioneer of the modern nba offence. Bud has been an assistant to POP for I dont kknow how many years..20? I think he has 2-3 rings. He only became a head coach recently and this is only his second team. He already has a ECF under his belt..i believe.
