Was actually just coming to post this. I know we have Faried...and Capela will return later this season... But is Thon worth a look?
I'm not opposed to him, but if he wants some sort of guarantee about big minutes, he won't get that here.
...bracing myself for the 20 'holic threads... and the related 100 page thread avalanches that are sure to follow.
he shoots three and 7 foot get him here now. We need a big that could block shots and hit 3's to keep the lane spread for James EGO and Cp3
It's like if Chriss asked Morey for a trade. He's by far the worst player in the team. Bud managed to turn the likes of Brown and DJ Wilson into rotational players but not Thon.
I think Thon would like it here. Harden instantly makes him better. When Paul comes back, we always have a playmaker for Thon on the court. He can shoot from three point land (for a big man), and he's tall. But big mins? I don't think there's enough time for that.
and you can play Faried with him, if we get house back we are setting ourselves up for a 9 to 10 man playoff rotation. The best part we should be able to compensate and counter any matchup problems we have
I actually would not have minded taking a look at him. He showed signs of life in the playoffs. But if he can't fit in Milwaukee's offense which is pretty similar to ours then he likely wouldn't cut it here either. He's certainly not going to beat out Capela or Faried, despite what holic might claim.
Have they ever actually figured out his age? I think he was rumored to be 3-4 years older than his listed age, right?
