Gogi is easily better than Lin.

Anybody who disagrees does not watch Rockets basketball or is incredibly biased.

    Come on.

He played his first 2,5 years in the league in Phoenix and at the time thought he'd play alongside Eric Gordon, with Scola and Gortat down low. I don't blame him, Houston had like 4-5 guaranteed players on the roster and a slim chance of acquiring a star. We got lucky with Harden, nobody could've predicted that move.

The irony of so many calling Gogi greedy and not thinking Lin did the same thing.

    They should be greedy.

Especially with guards it is very hard to quantify and accurately judge their defense when the help and team defense is terrible.

Exactly. And I can't believe he's still throwing his teammates under a bus. First us, and then the Suns?

Imagine that your girlfriend dumped you because she thought you weren't going to be successful. But then it turns out that you are and her new boyfriend is a loser.

Don't know about you, but that scenario would feel great.

True, of course we're biased, but we're supposed to treat our players better

    Pretty much.

Also, your claim to have seen all the games seems dubious in light of

    well...

currently dragic is shooting .317% from 3 and Lin is shooting .321% from 3

    Their FG % is identical

    assist are all but identical

Line has him in FT%, rebounding and steals... only thing dragic has on lin is 14.2 ppg to 12.5 ppg but that is with full field goal attempt moer per game. So brings that number even closer home.

Oh and dragic gets half a turn over per game less.

    You be the judge

Lin is close enough now, brings better marketing (for free agents, has higher upside (first full year), better contract, better trade value

    Id choose Lin personally.

    Suns will be fine.

They have their lotto and if the Lakers are lotto, they get that pick too.

They will have cap and they have some solid players locked up.

Their GM is doing well IMO.

Don't blame you, Goran, but don't feel sorry for you either.

Old story. But Lin's RFA, slightly different situation. NY asked him to test the market. If no other team gave him an offer, NY could pay Lin any amount they want.
If NY offered Lin something at first, but Lin said no because he thinks he could get more. Then it's greedy.
