So he is going to be playing the 4 this year or did McHale just put him there tonight? If he is a 4 he is way less intriguing. I agree his time is growing short but wouldn't judge him after one game after an injury. Unlike Douglas I'd keep him in the rotation for another five-ten games (preferably backing up Parsons) and give him a real opportunity.. after that.. someone else's chance.
I say give him more time, but he's also not a rookie. And so far he hasn't displayed one skill or skillset that can atleast give him a solid niche footing to go off of. He has to find one thing he can do well and really show it off to not only give the coaches confidence, but himself.
Haha, he isn't coming over any time soon. But, still a nice piece to a team rebuilding which ATL will be there by season's end.
Yeah, I've been off the Morris bandwagon since the end of his rookie year. The guy just doesn't have it.
Give him some more time to prove his worth. If he can't make any significant contribution to the team then yes, we can start discussing who to get
He actually had a decent 1 st half at 6/5, but was really bad in the second. He's a good rebounder, both offensive and defensive. And that's where my compliments end. He can't shoot. He seems to have poor hands. He's not strong enough to defend the 4, and he's def not a 3. Also, everyone is saying he has a post game, but I didn't see it. I was disappointed, but I agree with those who say not to read too much into the 1st game. Still, I'd have liked to see smith, jones, d-mo, or even white at the 4 over Morris.
Dude that was the 1st game he's ever played significant minutes in... Chill! I would deffenently rather see Terrence Jones start the next game though!
When you have young players you must be patient with them. Marcus is a second year player who did not play a ton last season. Give him some time.
Bottom line is Rockets won and Morris got some valuable real game time experience. Can't give up after one game.
You mean there's a young Rocket you aren't high on? Aren't you rushing to judgement? Shouldn't we give our young players a chance to see what they can do? (sorry for the sarcasm, but I couldn't help myself!)
Marcus missed quite a bit of pre-season. He didn't have a good game, but there were a few positives. I'm not ready to get rid of him yet. White had a terrible pre-season. Should we waive him? Douglas on the other hand...
