Has Omer Asik played his last game as a Rocket already?

I am not sure McHale will want to play Asik even if Asik wants to play.

 

I disagree. If Omer gets back to the level of last year in terms of level of play, and his health, I think McHale would put him out there in a New York minute. Make that a Boston minute. It would all depend on matchups, of course.

 

At the risk of hearing why you actually say this, why do you figure he is jerking him around, exactly?

 

Great now Asik's feelings is injured again because Mchale said "couch" when it was supposed to be "rehab". Comeback pushed further, Omer to return for first playoff game I'm calling it now.

 

By looking at how McHale acts and what McHale says.

I didn't take that as any kind of insult.

He's just explaining how hard it is to go from not playing at all for 2 months to playing an NBA game in the middle of the season.

 

I think people forget how good Omer can be. Remember that Grizzlies game when he outplayed Dwight in the second half and we came back from down big to win? He'll be a HUGE boost when he gets back.

 

You think we don't want him b/c he is not good?

 

DMo made it clear he wanted to play and wanted out if he wasn't playing .... Now he's playing and has an important role.

You cant trade both Asik & DMo and not get back a serviceable PF/C.

Uh, that's pretty harsh. Not disagreeing with McHale, but I can't believe he said that to the press. Sounds like the team has had enough of Asik's BS.

Can't stand him. I've never been more disappointed in a player; well maybe Royce White, but seriously....this is getting ridiculous. I'm with Morey, let Omer rot until we get a decent offer. Totally fine with McHale calling him out publicly. What does he have to lose at this point?

 

A game or two before the deadline, I suspect.
