OK. Nice. 819 worrywart posts about Asik, all of which basically come down to nothing. The hand wringing here would fill a swimming pool with blood and sweat. "Asik is a baby". "Asik is going to sulk and never contribute to the Rockets". "OMG the Rocket's world is ending, $15M next year for nothing". In case you all had not noticed despite last season, Asik is a Man. All of you Chicken Little's need to get some perspective. The collective angst of this board could drown a fan. LOL

As zach Lowe pointed out recently, expiring contratcs have less value in this current CBA because this cba restricts the amount of bad deals, the ones which are 6 years 100+ million. Teams are less likely to send out an expiring + asset for a solid player on a bad deal during the trade deadline. The difference is non guareenteed contratcs are the current contracts which hold all the value during the January guareenteed date

Why can't Omer just buy into this team. He'll get paid no matter what doing well as a starter or a backup. I mean Morey gave him a nice contract as a backup in Chicago.

From the limited play time since his return, I'm already liking what I've seen. He clobbers up the paint and alters shots which we haven't seen all year when Howard steps off. Omer is one of the best in using the rule of verticality IMO. His tangibles doesn't show up on the stat sheets but it sure has helped us win these last couple of games.

As upset I was that Omer wasn't traded I'm just as happy he wasn't!

Our PF problem was solved with TJ stepping up & seeing O play these last two games makes my really feel like we can make a run this season if he just keeps up his play.
