Whatever the Texans decide, it is their decision. They're fate is in their own hands in this draft. If they like the other QBs enough to pick one or trade down, then they should go for it.
you just don't get it do ya... the most glaring need the texans have is QB. there is no if's, and's, or but's about it. rick needs to do his job and decide WHO is the best qb of this draft class and take him 1.1 obviously i believe it is Teddy Bridgewater.
May have been done more recently, but the last I remember is when San Diego drafted Eli #1 and then immediately traded him to the Giants.
there is no RG3 or Luck level talent in this draft you wont get that kind of haul for any pick in this draft
lol rg3 is so overrated... and while luck is good.. he has his flaws. i sincerely believe Bridgewater can easily be better than both of them.
Was it Eli Manning? That was a draft and then trade scenario. Yeah, teams don't trade the pick much and often posture that they will trade the pick for the right haul. But the downside of busting that pick is magnified when you traded up to make it. The Washington/St. Louis RGIII deal may not be out there. Just a matter of how much the Texans are willing to settle for. Bottom line is the Texans get THE opportunity to draft the single player they most want. If they use it, they should take it without regard to what the draftnicks say and fill spots with the other selections.
Rg3 is good, but you can tell the injury really affected him all year, that and the obvious behind the scenes stuff that'll probably come out soon. Andrew Luck is amazing. There's nothing he can't do. He can make time, be elusive, break a tackle, run, throw all kinds of balls. He's not elite, but he likely will be soon. He's just a monster in every aspect. I believe bridgewater will be good and if we draft him i really really hope he is, but to say anyone not named Drew, Tom, Peyton, or Aaron, can easily be better than Luck is just ridiculous.
O'Yea... They've been horrible. It doesn't help Okung missed a lot of time. Regardless, Seattle will be drafting OL heavy this year. While mixing in a WR or two.
No, it's not. Luck is not this flawless QB that most think. While I agree that he is a bonafide franchise QB (same cannot be said about rg3), Luck has issues that he needs to work on. Namely his accuracy. Since he's so good at other aspects of the game, it's not that big of a deal. Your description of Luck (make time, elusive, run, etc..) fits Bridgewater to a T. Luck vs Bridgewater will develop into an intense, highly contested rivalry. While Bridgewater has his flaws, just as Luck, both of them are well beyond their years regarding their football IQ... it's going to be a lot of fun.
Since when did clutchfans become the Bridgewater fan club. What's with all the condemnation for those that don't agree that he's the chosen one? Some ppl just come here to call everyone with a difference of opinion a troll. We can all agree dude is talented but since when did a qb play well behind a shoddy line? This team has a lot of holes to fill and weather we draft Bridgewater or not it won't fix all the teams issues. For the love of God can we have some logical productive post. Besides Hundley is better anyway...
Tebow is better. He won the Heisman and two national championships playing in the sec. Bridgewater beat u/h and smu and you guys crown him Jesus LoL
