Manziel would be a great pick for the texans unlike what most think. I agree with you on Bridgewater though. We just gotta be honest with ourselves and pick the best qb that fits our team needs.

    Cool with me.

I've seen enough of Boyd in national televised games to see he is not worth a 3rd round pick, maybe a late 4th or 5th round flier would be as good as it gets for him.

By far the best case scenario is for the Cleveland Browns to fall in love with Teddy. They could trade us pick #4, the indy 1st round pick, and a future 2nd and I would be ecstatic.

I'd be even more ecstatic if we received a player of impact with that 2nd pick, if we were to bring in such a haul.

That's the only thing that worries me with this Front Offices m.o. they typically do a great job with their 1st round picks (at least as of late) but everything beyond that is pretty sketchy.

Watt and Cushing were good picks. Mercilus, Hopkins, Kareem....eh.

#11 and #15 compared to late first rounders. Cush needs to show me that he can stay on the field or he will be a huge waste of money.

Too early to tell on Hopkins. 800 yards with inconsistent QB play in his rookie season is very good actually.

And who would we draft with pick number four?

If the Browns then selected Bridgewater, who do the Rams draft, who do the Jags draft? What if the Rams trade the pick to a team that drafts Bortles and then the Jags draft Manziel in order to generate fan interest? So the Texans are holding the fourth pick and the highest rated QB left on the board is.........................Carr?

Clowney. And since Clowney is already considered a candidate for the #1 pick i would think we made out like a bandit if this is how the draft falls.

Stop talking about trades. And stop trying to sound smart like you know what you're talking about. We need the 1st pick and draft the best player available.

    In a heartbeat

#4 Manziel, Clowney, Barr, Mathews, Bortles

#24 Cyrus Kouandjio (RT), Mike Evans, Louis Nix (replace Smith?), Darqueze Dennard (replace Joseph?), Cyril Richardson (the running games best friend)

You can always get Aaron Murray early, like in the 2nd. if you miss on your QB in the first two picks.

I would do that if we were sold on Manziel and Bortles, both. It's highly likely that one of the two would be available with the 4th pick. Then, as you said, you can get an anchor with the pick in the end of the first, or the second round, and draft best player available with the other. How great does this look on paper?

    4 - Bortles or Manziel
    24 - Kahlil Mack
    2nd (A) - RT

And I'm a huge Bridgewater fan.

(This assumes Mack were to fall slightly behind his projected value. I think he very well could fall).

you keep bringing up this game where bridgewater clearly outplayed bortles and had his team up late (under 2 minutes) to win the game.. bortles beat UL defense, how exactly was bridgewaters fault his defense couldnt stop ucf in a 2 minute warning..
