What? Keenum was awful and if he wasn't a Houston kid then he would have been run out of town. The offense was terrible with him in it. If we draft a QB and sign a vet then I would be cool with the rook to sit for a year but there is no way Keenum is our starting QB. Start the rook in that case. I don't understand you guys and what offense you were watching with the kid running QB.
I'm not sure any QB is worth 1-1 just yet, but I'm truly anxious to see the combine and listen to the scouts talk about the prospects. One under the radar guy that my son found that is intriguing (2-3 rds) is...Jimmy Garoppolo. Check out some of these reviews... http://www.ganggreennation.com/2013...the-draft-jimmy-garoppolo-qb-eastern-illinois http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=107638&draftyear=2014&genpos=QB
Its impossible IMO to determine a mock draft IMO. I think there is going to be A BUNCH of trades in this draft. First 3 picks will change the entire outcome. Could easily see teams trading out/back of/in the first round. Especially teams who need a QB such as Minny or Oakland. Doubt the first pick will be traded though.
I don't think anybody takes mocks too seriously as predictions anymore. But A. they are interesting and fun and B. they do give a relative value estimate for players and respect the needs of the teams. As incorrect as they are for predicting actual picks they are pretty good at predicting about where a player will go. I'm now going on the record FOR Johnny Football. I want him on my team for the next decade. Win, loose or draw it would be a ton of fun, he would blow the lid off this town. "He's too small. he can't play like that in the NFL" , HORSEHOCKEY, look at Tony Romo, now make him an even better athlete, the best athlete on the field, better than Russell Wilson. #draftJohnny
I don't mean this, but when I saw that play live the first thing out of my mouth was, "there's no way this guy can play in the NFL". No more 35 second passing windows. He better figure out a way to make things happen fast with his arm, no more time for pee-pee games in the pocket when you go pro.
