This is hilarious. You make some points about team defense, how to defend the PnR, how to make our own PnR more effective.

The posts following are "We need another superstar", "Trade our players!", "Make some 3s", "Fire our coach!".

Lol, I don't think anyone even read the post.

Bottom line is, our perimeter D is crap. Our backcourt was completely overmatched and undersized, with the 6'1 Bev and 6'3 Lin defending much bigger players.

At TIMES you can get away with playing Lin at the 2, but tonight was not one of those nights. Its not apples and apples but its a bit like getting upset at Delfino cause he cant guard a bigger/stronger post player.

Lin was clearly struggling to keep up with Anderson physically in terms of lack of length and strength. It wasn't for a lack of effort.

At that point its on McHale to go deeper into the bench and USE BREWER who sorta a noted defender.

Our bench is supposedy deep, yet we play a 8/9-man rotation every night even when there's illness and injuries. These guys aren't gonna last long.

His main problem is that he drives without a plan then he gets trapped in the paint, and they strip it. he has done it his whole career, I understand that his game is driving to the basket but he has to be more I'm control!

Likes: JLin heating it up. Getting his minutes and not afraid to shoot the 3. Bev with his SICK clutch defense. Tjones playing hard and playing well. Casspi able to get going a bit. Parsons having a pretty solid game. Dwight a solid game too.

Dislike: Lots of dumb TOs. The team defense is gross. What happened to being a great defensive team. It seemed like they could just walk in the paint and score on us that easily. Lin played great but, should have stopped feeding the ball to Dwight. Could have been coach's orders though. Lin should have got going in the fourth more he facilitated too much. And DH needs to run PNR man to change it up a bit.

Biggest dislike is: why draw a play for parsons to shoot the last shot, and why garcia as well? No down screens for Jeremy at all to be freed, which clearly meant the play was never designed for him...really the guy who shot well all game, and Lin has been known to be a a fairly clutch guy. Garcia and Parsons were scared to death on the shot lol. Some really really big mistakes from the coach and it's not the first time...

Loving the great ball movement where everyone got involved.

    Meow.

Nope. Production was bad - maybe disappointed he's out of the starting line up, and 4 minutes was enough for coach to put him on the pine all night.

 Because he wasn't starting? That doesn't sound Omer-like.

    Sigh

There are tons of possessions to go around. Both can take turns facilitating.

Funny thing is, Lin made the last shot. And it was a three. I had a brief moment reminiscing about T-Mac.

We do not need so many players in this team. Just abandon DMo, Brewer, Greg Smith if this coach never concerns them when the players on the court are so tired.

I think Lin deserves criticism for the turnovers but that's not why we lost. The guy guy carried the game for the Rockets. The plays at the end for Parsons and Garcia just defy understanding. This one's on the coaching staff.

Regardless, it's still something Lin needs to work on. He tends to turnover with he's tired and he needs to realize that and stop over passing.

34 pts and 12 assist will more than negate 36 pts and 0 assist. If everyone played as well as Lin on offense and defense Rockets would have won going away.

I thought we were so going to win before that 3 in the last second.
This game needs to be re-watched and studied by the Rockets.

Exactly what I saw. This is where a lineup of Lin, Harden, Garcia/Casspi/Jones, Parson, and Howard would be ideal.

Agreed. All three of those guys could've bought some time for our main guys.

    We're a 3 pt shooting team that can't make 3s.

We will be fine. Chemistry and identity are the keys. Everything is for the playoff.
