DaDakota - again, I say stop flattering yourself.

It is not hard to look for your posts, you effectively take a "play VSPAN/play Novak/Play Uptempo/Boki rules" dump inside of every thread, even if they are not about that topic.

My problem is not finding your posts, it is (and read the "Olive Branch" thread for more detail) that it is so hard NOT to find them because you seek to redirect every thread to your points, which I feel are impulsive and not well thought out.

Honestly, I can't explain to myself why I haven't started ignoring your posts - either way, the BBS would be a better place without so freakin many of them. Regardlss, as was my original point - if you seek to draw attention to yourself - which you do - you cannot turn around and accuse people of stalking once it occurs.

Show me where I did that exactly? We were having a conversation about Euro players and the allure of the NBA and whether or not it is waning due to money being about equal.

I find it absurd too. But of course I have a lot of posts in other forums and furthermore, my posts are not nearly as 1-track as yours. You alone have been the GARM v-span guru, seekin to redirect as many threads as humanly possible onto your one or two issues.

I think DaDa is right here, he was just a little sloppy in making his point (and his past haunts him). As we have seen with foreign posters on this board, many think that just because Greece or Argetnina can beat the USA national team that means USA basketball is not as good or declining and thus the NBA is not as attractive.

I think that can play into a foreign player's head. If the perception is not as big a it was, I can be a bigger star here, the money is equal at least in the short term, fewer games, etc...then yeah I don't need to go to the NBA.

The reality is that the NBA is still light years ahead talent wise, but perception combined with personal factors can now outweigh that.

As something extra - perhaps there is another factor? In the "old days (80's and early 90's) very few actually came over so the ones who did were already established stars. Those guys came over and generally did well but it was a very selective process. Then the floodgates open and busts start coppingup all over the place. So now every foreign player has to factor in the large possibility of bombing in the NBA or, at the least, being a minimum bench player for a few years dealing with the adjustments. Who other than Pau Gasol has come in and really played well immediately in recent years? Perhaps they would rather not deal with something like that.

I too agree with you that the Euro leagues are growing in appeal for players, while the NBA is losing some of it's luster.

is there a point to any of this? if someone disagrees with me i will go more into detail about what i meant. if there is a second response disagreeing, there isn't much point in continuing especially with someone who will not see. on the bright side, it does keep the thread alive.
