why do you think it doesn't matter that someone else covered your ass in the last 4 years. it's a pretty big favor, don't you think? i would think yao should return the favor first - also carrying the team and allowing tmac to slack for 4 years - before he can open his mouth and voice his displeasure. that said, i also call this story BS too. yao may suck as a franchise player but he's a grateful person. he's never feuded with anyone in his career. and of all the people, he would not feud with tmac.

Yao is thankful for Tmac caring the team while he was injured. But that doesn't mean that Yao should tolerate unprofessional slack play on the court and not rehabbing off the court. Yes, Yao was injured a few times in the past, but Yao has never ever been unprofessional.

And that's why players and fans are unhappy with Tmac. Nonetheless, we should still give Tmac another chance after he comes back 2 weeks later.

Although I'm sure Aldridge gave a good spin on the whole thing, I don't doubt the friction in the locker room, and I'm sure Yao was given some marching orders on how to address the media.

Too many side-stories on this board from DocRocket and others that suggests there's a fair amount of spin going on. Which is as it should be. Airing dirty laundry for all to see = not good.

we've won around 20-25% of our games WITHOUT TRACY for most of the time tracy has been out (sans this year, which we've played at a relatively the same level with or without tracy).

if yao performed superb during tracy's absence in previous years and carried the team, there wouldn't be speculation on the team using this period to see if yao has that capability to carry a team.

furthermore, if we played 60-65% ball without tracy in previous years, i don't think tracy would have slacked off like he did b/c he knew if he did, the team would just leave him behind in the dust. the reason the team hasn't is that they know they need him to play well.

From another thread, but I figured it was relevant.

At the end, I got to talk to Scola and of course I asked him what was up with Tmac; hows the situation? He told me, after his faced dropped and his voice lowered, "Not good." I then asked him if he was coming back strong and rehabbing, and he said to both questions in a very low key manner "I hope so." It seemed like he didn't want to say any of that to loud. Take it as you want it, but all of those guys are awesome.
