One thing is for sure. The Repugs and Trump will do anything legal and anything arguably legal that their buds on the S.Ct. will hopefully decide is "Constitutional" lol to insure undemocratic rule by the oligarchy.
Tradition, the "Framers" lol etc. will count for squat.

 

Voters elected Republicans to a majority in the Senate and to the Presidency. It's a simple process to confirm a Justice and well within their rights. Actually, it's what the voters elected them to do. Senators would be shirking their duties if they did NOT confirm a new SCOTUS Justice.

There is absolutely nothing illegal about this - to suggest otherwise is absurd.
