Never underestimate the human ability to rationalize, especially the tribal myths. If you don't really really believe you can be ostracized, exiled or excommunicated. It's a hardwired act of self-preservation.
The most corrupt president ever... Tax records show 200 entities funneled money to Trump properties while reaping benefits from White House: NYT https://thehill.com/homenews/admini...-200-companies-groups-and-foreign-governments
https://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?threads/trump-being-sued-under-emoluments-clause.283291/ Been there, done that I'm sure he meant to hide it in his returns
like ur sure that Ivanka is a consultant of the Trump co, even tho that she's an officer of the family-owned co and draws a salary. earth to PGab. newroxfan is talking about tax frauds / $ laundering, and you provide links to the emoluments clause
The reason they haven't indicted is to make sure Statue of Limitations clock is not started. Make sure he is not President.
Perhaps Pelosi did not see any added benefit to impeaching the Criminal in Chief more than once. Of course if the shoe were on the other foot, the Rs would have impeached Obama once a day. Too bad for the Rs that Obama was a career criminal like Trump.
I wish someone would give me $287 million. I could start hundreds of businesses with it, and I'm sure at least one would be successful. Hell, many of us here might be able to create an empire with that...
He never should have been allowed to take office until he divested himself from his company and showed us his tax returns. But here we are.
Because the rest of us are exhausted. There's so much corruption in the Trump crime family, it's tough to focus on it all.
Showing tax returns is not a requirement for taking office. This is America. We dont make up ish on the fly
This should be a reform we do in the future. As Trump shows there are way too many possibilities of conflict of interests.
There were Republicans this time in 2016 who were saying they would launch impeachment hearings as soon as Hillary Clinton took office. My point is that instead of the call with Ukraine he should've been impeached for violations of the emoluments clause. Not that what he did with Ukraine wasn't wrong but that him profiting off of the office is more clear cut and easier to understand than what happened with Ukraine or even obstruction of justice regarding Russian involvement in the 2016 election. I also think it would've been doubtful that he would've been removed from office as getting 67 Senators is a very high bar but I think it's possible they could've gotten more Republican Senators to vote for removal.
