Very clear Altuve would rather get his ass back to communist poverty stricken Venezuela than play baseball in Houston. We all see you Jose.
well at least we got a couple of hits the last inning our playoff spot ( if we make it is locked ) , just gotta gets guys clicking in the next 4 games. Hopefully win the first 2 so you can better set the rotation for the playoffs
I wonder how much extra work Altuve is putting into hitting currently? It’s not paying off unfortunately.
All the dude had to to was close his stance. The 3 guys before him did it. Grip it and rip it. That's his career. He'll be back, hell they'll all be back next year.
Maybe..... probably, but he doesn’t look all that terribly interested to me... then again playing baseball in a foreign country, without fans, in a pandemic and being .500% doesn’t really sound like fun for anyone.
Guys like Altuve and Bregman are professionals... they will be back and play well.. they will have their routine back and Spring Training... between the injuries and defections and lack of a stable season and pandemic and no fans... this isn’t regular baseball.
What? for 2 games until he gets hurt? Let Altuve be Altuve, for better or worse. That's all we can do for the rest of this season.
I was talking about the playoffs. Put in the lineup that gives you the best chance at reaching base, scoring runs, and winning.
I am not sure if his family has finally come up here. They usually are here but with COVID they stayed behind when this all started. Yes, I do think everything going on is impacting some guys. These guys have routines all scheduled around when spring training starts. Some guys go and meet other players and train with them. Some guys are very social and the lock down has impacted them. Some guys are impacted by crowds, etc. It sounds absurd to an extent but yeah I think it all plays a part with some of the players around the league struggling.
Yeah Altuve needs to keep playing if he is healthy. Other than getting some of the younger guys playoff experience, I really would not be crushed if we missed the playoffs.
The Good: Springer reached base 3 times No runs allowed by the bullpen Nice to start to rally in the 9th, not giving up, and avoiding the shutout The Bad: Greinke with a long first inning, and then the string of hits in the 5th to knock him out Got outhit 9-7 Didn't capitalize on our best opportunities The Ugly: Wasting a prime opportunity to score early with the bases loaded and one out, down by one SUCKED.
Word. That's all I really am interested in. How will the rookies play in a 3 game playoff series? Gonna be fun to watch.
What I care about most is, making the stripped draft picks worth as little as possible. Not much difference in, say, picking 14th in the 3rd or picking 30th.
Or it won't take long? I got no ****ing idea. Playoff baseball is fun. Remember who won the WS last year, and where they came from.
