Man, looking at the offensive stats of the past 30 days it is basically Springer, Tucker and Brantley doing all of the damage with a little bit of Maldonado sprinkled in. Shocked at how poor Bregman, Altuve, Correa, Gurriel and Reddick have looked but hopefully 2 or 3 of them will find their groove in the last week of the season along with Springer/Tucker/Brantley/Maldonado staying hot somehow.
He's still hitting the ball hard. If he's hurt, it isn't affecting how hard he can swing the bat. He's being more aggressive at the plate...swinging at more strikes...swinging at more balls. When he's aggressive, it is probably because he has no idea if the pitch is a strike or a ball. I miss when people complained at the patient Correa that takes strikes, but also walked and hit homers.
To everyone except Bill James https://www.billjamesonline.com/stats88/ http://www.fieldingbible.com/jeter.asp#:~:text=Jeter played much, much more,in a Ted Williams shift.
Who's the hitting coach? Fire his ass. Sorry but when your big name stars aren't hitting pretty much all season...we need a goat.
What the hell.... Clevinger goes one inning against the Angels and then they pull him. Thanks for the help San Diego....
They won't get any help from the Dodgers against the Angels either since they have clinched the top seed.
Don't they know Clevenger hates the Astros so much that he wanted to be pulled early so the Angels would have a better chance to win.
Man we control our own destiny. I’m not worried about mariners or angels . If don’t make playoffs we don’t wanna be in the playoffs lol .
I know... I mean if we can't win 2 out of 5 games against the Mariners and Rangers we don't deserve it. I was just hoping to lock it up tonight.
On the actual game , this is a good chance for Grienke to have a good start before the playoffs . He’s been less than his stellar self the last 2 outings . But , not really concerned unless he looks awful tonight . I remember marcgavecus being good agaisnt is last time .. or at least having tough stuff . Another opportunity for one of our slumbering guys In the lineup to wake up .
Makes me sad but Greinke has not been as sharp the past few starts. I'm afraid father time may be catching up to him.
