Trump doesn’t realize a lot of things but he’s very very great at one thing - creating confusing and chaos. In the midst of that confusion and chaos he can claim and will claim, if he losses, as expected, that the election is fraudulent and challenge it - it might be a very bad attempt or it might just work out for him given the DoJ, Senate, States under Republican control, and his devoted followers. This is a gamble and one that he might end up losing badly, but it’s in his nature given his history of reckless and risky bet, which is based on his delusional views of reality - eg. Mail in ballot is full of fraud, the virus is a hoax / we have a cure soon / will just vanish away... A reason he keep taking these bets is that in his life, he doesn’t get challenged about his delusional views by his family, relative and friends. More importantly, he hasn’t faced accountability. He will keep at it until the ship is literally sinking and he has to bail, like he has many times in his businesses. Unfortunately, we are now all in the same ship. I find it funny she sent a letter when the problem is with the Postal Service. I hope she mailed it first class...
This is a gamble based on his view of reality: in reality, Republicans won by contesting ballots in Trump's home state of FL back in 2000. FL was a mess then, and it will be bad again.
To be fair, that was a mess that wasn’t created or pre-planned by the Republican. This up-coming mess in multiple states is pre-planned and created by the trump admin so that they can challenge it if necessary and with them losing badly, it’s the gamble they are taking.
"Eh, who needs mail?" is not the justification I expected, but it's nice to know there's a little bit of room left under the limbo bar for you to keep bending over backward in defense of everything Trump.
Seriously all those seniors that need their SS checks and medications are going to freak out - this is terrible...the USPS is crucial to the running of our country. I can't wait for Nov 3rd and Trump to be tossed out on his ass and face charges in NY. The biggest con man in US history. DD
They will probably deliver the letter to itself the day after the election. Their strongly worded reply should come the day the new Congress is sworn in and she s out on the streets, looking for a K Street lobbying job.
The founding fathers saw the importance of it enough to specifically add a clause in the Constitution for Congress to establish and regulate the post office. A postal system was in use in the colonies even prior to the Constitution. It is a core part of the American system and value. Trump admin attack on its function and underfunding of it goes against the very beg of this nation and the founding father. The idea that it has to be more self funded also goes against the idea - if the postal office needs to be self sufficient and not be funded by tax revenue, as Conservative has argued for many years, then so should the US military.
