You're absolutely right James deserves ridicule for playing poorly but let's be honest here, he still gets ridicule when he's playing well. He's the NBA bad guy (or the closest thing to it).

In today’s social media, instant-gratification age, every player in the NBA has haters. It’s not right, but, yes, Harden has more than most because of his style of play.

Therefore, I don’t want to bet because any player can be playing at an MVP level and still be criticized. However, my point was that anyone that played like Harden did in the first two games would get ridiculed, and deservedly so.

I shouldn’t have said that he wouldn’t get ridiculed if he was playing well. That was a mistake on my part. In today’s social media age, a player can have a great game and receive unfair criticism. Harden receives more than most because his style of play bothers people for some reason, and that’s not right or fair.

Gordon (who has sucked thus far) played more minutes than Westbrook tonight ....
Think about that for a minute.....

Harden isn’t playing well at all.

    Defense sucks.

Got a long season to correct it

D'Antoni still thinks of Eric Gordon to be more than what he actually is (an inconsistent 6th man).

Just wait until they try to force him into the starting lineup to "get him going".....

    The defense is really terrible.

126 points to a pelican team without Zion? Yikes

For the first time in the harden era in Houston he doesn’t look to be the best player on the team right now.

    I think that’s a good thing.

No way he’s been bad but go back and look at his starts to every season.

He’s a notoriously slow starter to every season.

It’s alk good he’ll get his touch back after about 8 games then this team will take off. Once harden gets his shot going it’s going to be damn near impossible to beat us in the regular season.

    Playoffs? We’ll see

But regular season with not much game planning for us from game to game. This team will be so hard to beat.

Not saying 60 wins but I won’t be surprised if we do.

If we go 8-2 to start the season since our first 10 games are fairly weak I can see us getting to 60 wins maybe more.

But this is a 55 win team at the very least.

Think of how good we will be win harden is hitting his normal 37-38% from 3 and taking 13+ a game? It’s over we’ll bang out so many of these mediocre to bad teams with ease.

This season is going to be fun.

Well, at least Harden proved the Bucks defense wasn't the problem.

It’s obvious that they still have a lot to figure out.

There are no signs that they cannot figure it out.

This team has a lot of talent.

The problem with Harden is that if he has an off offensive game, he is literally the worst player on the floor.
For Harden to be that best player in the league, this is the final hurdle.
How to impact the game and help your team win even when your shot is not falling.

Visually he definitely doesn't doesn't look as lean as his 2018 season or even last season.

Well one of those two had surgery in the offseason, and also suffered injuries in the pre-season.

So, you know, they could be taking a precautionary load management approach to ease into the season.

If we could just introduce a second basketball to the game, would make things easier for both.

    Everyone getting moar touches.

You see how the pelicans took fifty threes but they were high quality in rhythm. They are stepping into the shot not settling.Thats the difference, even if we are wide open we have to make up our mind and respond decisively. Then the shots will fall
