The sad part about this is it just has to do with effort. It’s why I’ve never been able to call him the best in the league. Because it isn’t true. If he would put in effort ( consistent defense, stop ball watching, cut and move when you don’t have the ball, don’t give up on a play after the refs don’t bail you out, on fast breaks actually run when someone else leads it off.) He would easily be the best in the league and it wouldn’t be close. Harden is what he is at this point and at 30 it won’t change. He won’t magically decide to give maximum effort. When he is locked in he is deadly on both sides of the ball. He has shown he can do it. He just chooses not to.
How many time outs should we have ? we get less now and the way some people go on here, they think we should have at least 50
you mistake his normal big build for looking fat. It is just his normal body structure Harden taking the same amount of threes as last season but less shots overall so far
I think harden has alot going on right now 1) he has to adjust to playing with Westbrook 2) he has to adjust to playing with the new rules I think both get worked out over time. The refs will eventually stop calling so many offensive fouls.
The things you listed actually don’t bother me bc I knew coming into this season that everything listed would be a problem. Harden will forever ball watch and not make himself useful when he’s not initiating the offense. This organization has allowed him to develop bad habits that can longer be changed. As far as Capela I actually don’t expect anything from him anymore. He’s weak AF in the post and always seems to lay everything up besides trying to dunk everything.
I have shited on WB before but man he has that Gladiator feel that Harden lacks. Like i remember playing OKC and even with +20 when he had the ball i always felt fear that this mf can change the game all by himself. And now I can see it when he is on our side. He has that alpha dog in him which intimidates every other player on the court.... always sharper, stronger, more energetic. When James & EG go back to their usual self & Morey aquires some bigs/wings we are getting to the finals and I am sure of it.
He’s never been GREAT but I think in 2017-2018 he was legitimately solid and showing reason to believe he was getting there, and since then he has noticeably regressed.
No, he's definitely looked leaner in the past especially during the 2018 season in his MVP year. That was easily his best year playing consistent defense also.
You say this every year lmao. I remember you criticizing him after a couple bad games in 2018 longing for the days of 2014-2015... Every year man. Harden will be fine.
