    Every timeout you take
    Every adjustment you make
All those points on the fast break

    I'll be missing you

Rick didn't want to play Morey ball so he left. We ran real offensive sets when he coached

Hell yes I do...Yao would have broken down anyway due to his size.

Rick is a hall of fame coach...I miss JVG, Rudy, Rick....this team could be so GREAT with quality coaching.

seeing rick overachieve with a mediocre talented team was way more fun to watch than seeing mchale underachieve with a supremely talented team.

and we could be a Lakers team in the playoffs with Aaron Brooks and Ron Artest and Scola with Rick

we can't be the scrub Lakers without Dwight

we lost that series to the Lakers, and lost our franchise player. Just because Adelman is better than MilkHair doesn't mean I miss him.

Seems like yesterday we used to rock the show
The defensive was good and the offense had the flow
So mad Les didn't want to pay you the dough
Notorious R-I-C, they got to know that!
Offensive isn't what it seems to be
Words can't express what you mean to Clutch City
    Even though you're gone
    We still a team
Glad we had a coach like you like we had Hakeem

Blaming Adelman for Yao's injuries...LMAO. I mean, clearly, the guy was injury free before Ricky got here.

Also ironic considering you've never said anything about Mchale not managing Harden's minutes---mostly stemming from his incompetence in implementing a gameplan that would allow bench players to actually thrive--and give Harden some rest.

I've been one of the last people to criticize McHale, but good lord , it's like nobody knows what to do when Dwight is out.

The Rockets won like 10 games in a row WITHOUT HAKEEM in the 90s ...WITH DON CHANEY!!!

While true that Adelman wasn't the cause of Yao's injuries, he put the cherry on top.

Here's a post from that thread I linked above.

LOL, like playing on the chinese team and JVG didn't play Yao plenty of minutes.

you realize Yao got hurt when Tim Thomas fell on him right?

Just say it, you think McHale is better than Rick Adelman. Be true to yourself.

don cheney - "we, we just need to keep our poise out there"

man he used to say that at least 8 times a week.

also, we won 10 straight without yao after he went down in new orleans.

why the front office has wasted so many seasons with mchale i will never understand.

Some people want to scapegoat a certain player or coach by glorifying others. Adelman did fine but he made plenty of mistakes and failed to "adjust" plenty of times.

For instance, in his final season, he kept on giving minutes to Jordan "THE MAN" Hill and a post-injury/disgruntled Aaron Brooks while both of these guys were ineffective and the scoreboard would almost immediately go south for HOU whenever one of them was in-- just check the +/- for these guys. That was a team close to making the playoffs and Adelman's stubborn decision to stick with ineffective players probably cost the Rockets the playoff berth.
