If Bryant did own the Warriors or Rockets, Riley or Morey would be out of a job. Why? No basketball executives worth his weight should have missed out on Jeremy Lin, according to Bryant.

Lin was cut by the both the Rockets and Warriors before being signed by the New York Knicks.

Morey has said he regrets his decision to cut Lin. Warriors coach Mark Jackson said the Warriors have no such regrets.

"The biggest thing to me is how everybody missed that," Bryant said Saturday during All-Star festivities in Orlando, according to the Associated Press. "They all would be fired if I was owning a team. I hear this stuff about it came out of nowhere, and I think it's (wrong).

"You can't play that well and just come out of nowhere,” Bryant added. “There has to something there and everybody missed it, so heads would roll."

Bryant, the player, missed it, too—and well after it had already begun. Bryant said before the Lakers played the Knicks on Feb. 10 that he didn’t even know who Jeremy Lin was. This despite Lin posting three straight 20-plus point games and dominating headlines and “SportsCenter” in the week preceding that game Lin went on to drop 38 on L.A. in a 92-85 Knicks win.

Also, China should fire Hu Jintao's ass for letting Jeremy Lin get away and then not buy him back after Harvard.

The Rockets (yes, us) should be the ones "fired", pardon my use of that terminology...

They were the last team to work with Lin, and if reports are true - that he improved drastically between his GSW days and now - then the Rockets would've had the complete package sitting in front of them.

Lin mentioned that he didn't get enough "reps" - that thought he was a point guard, he didn't get enough playing time or ball touches in practice. But this is difficult to blame to Rockets for. They picked him off waivers not randomly but because they saw some potential, but what I really don't understand is how you cannot see the talent in this player in the 4-5 minutes he showed. This is a guy that gives 100% his all for any chance at becoming a rotational player. He would've demonstrated anything and everything for the Rockets.....

And that's what really disappoints me. I forgive the Rockets, but I will never forget :D

You do realize that the Knicks were about to cut Lin, right? That was until they suffered a slew of injuries at the PG position and were practically forced to start him, and he exploded out of nowhere.

It's not Morey's fault.
It's David Stern that's the one that needs to go.
Houston would've had Jeremy Lin, Pau Gasol, Nene if it wasn't for Stern....Rockets had to cut a guy to make room for Dalembert since he was something the team needed desperately.
Most people don't realize this but when you do it all makes sense why he isn't on the team.

Yeah, Laker's genius GM who has Derek Fisher's corpse as their starting pg didn't even give Jeremy Lin a look. Who should really be fired.
