KD ranks PGs, this is #30 to #21. Can't really evaluate without seeing the rest of the rankings, but the Rockets PGs are the endcaps for this article : he's put Lowry at 30, and Brooks at 21.

There are 20 PGs better than AB.

    NBA is too guard happy.

KD is saying that brooks is a below average starting point guard. I can't think of 20 other point guards better than Brooks. I can't even come up with 10 off the top of my head.

Hmm, a Rocket gets underrated, how strange.

I'm disappointed that this will no doubt be used against Brooks as people continue to rip him up undeservedly through the season, as if it's some kind of true fact.

Yep, by folks that can't think for themselves and take a sportwriters word as some sort of eductated opinion.

I like Kelly, but his opinion is no better than anyone else's on this very board.

He just has a job writing about it...doesn't mean he knows what he is talking about, look at Jerome Solomon, he gets paid to write too.

    ;)

Brooks' speed, ability to break down a defense and sending phil jaxxxxon to have a meltdown at a press conference, should place Brooks at least on the top 12. Give him some f'n credit.

I think people here may overrate Brooks a little because this is a Rockets message board, but this ranking seems a bit low.

It appears he's rating point guard skill sets as opposed to the all around impact of players who just so happen to be point guards.

I mean Sessions one spot below Brooks?

    There is no ranking below:

    1. Rondo
    2. John Wall
    3. Derrick Rose
    4. Nelson
    5. Brandon Jennings
    6. Deron Williams
    7. CP3
    8. Tony Parker
    9. Billups
    10.Devin Harris
    11.Stephen Curry
    12.Steve Nash
    13.Baron Davis
    14.Andre Miller
    15.Russell Westbrook
    16.Tyrek Evens

    As good: Darren Collison
Unrated: Rubio - This kid is going to be a bona fide super star.

Thinking of the starting point guard's for all other teams, I conclude with this list that is better then Brooks.

    1) Rondo
    2) Rose
    3) Williams
    4) Paul
    5) Nash
    6) Westbrook
    7) Billups

    Debatable:
    8) Collison
    9) Kidd
    10) Curry
    11) Evans
    12) Parker
    13) Harris
    14) Stuckey
    15) Jennings
    16) Miller
    17) Davis

So I think definetly top 15 standard..

Too many point guards in the league...I think KD is stretching it, but-

    Definitely better then Brooks
    Chris Paul
    Deron Williams
    Billups
    Rondo
    Rose
    Westbrook
    Nash

    A Slight Tier Above
    Parker
    Harris
    Kidd
    Curry

    More or Less the Same
    Jameer Nelson
    Baron Davis
    Andre Miller
    Mo Williams

And that's not including combo guards like Tyreke or incoming rookies like Wall. 20 is stretching it a bit, but I can see where KD is coming from.

AB is average, good but not all-star level PG. AB is one of the fasteds PG in NBA and his outside shooting is elite. But besides that he's below average in almost every other categories. Even his scoring ability is overrated as he scores 19ppg on 16 shots.

When healthy, you can pretty much put SP3,DW,Nash,Rose,Billups,Rondo,Westbrook, Parker, Evens ahead of him, and you can argue guys like Kidd, Curry,Collison, Ellis, Davis,Jennings, Felton etc all have a case to be on the same level or even better.

And John Wall is likely to be better than AB in his rookie season.

Brooks is definitely a top 15 PG in this league, but I would hardly put him in the top 10 like how a lot of ppl here would. My top 15 list would be:

    1. Chris Paul
    2. Deron Williams
    3. Steve Nash
    4. Chauncy Billups
    5. Rojon Rondo
    6. Derrick Rose
    7. Tony Parker
    8. Gilbert Arenas
    9. Russell Westbrook
    10. Devin Harris
    11. Stephen Curry
    12. Brandon Jennings
    13. Aaron Brooks
    14. Baron Davis
    15. Jason Kidd

AB is definitely one of the top 10 PGs. Hope AB read this. He'll prove him wrong then.

I would give you Parker, Kidd, and Curry from the second list which would come to 10 better. 20 is definitely too many.

He'd be better as a spark plug off the bench.

I trust KD on his rankings because he actually watches Rockets game.

Also he's ranking Point Guards and AB clearly isn't one the same way Monte Ellis isn't one.

He's an undersized Shooting guard that turns over the ball and sucks at creating.Ariza avg. Close the same assit numbers.
