If we win all our games and memphis loses a couple more we get the no 14 pick. If we lose all our games we get the 12th. What is the real difference between the 12th and the 14th.

The year we got roy we could have the been the 6th pick, but we still could have kept rudy gay who is a decent player. But there is an exponential decay as you start going down from the top picks therefore you have a bigger difference between 6 and 8 vs 12 and 14.

I never believe in the methodology of tanking unless there's a once in a generation talent available in the draft. I'm sure Turner and Wall are going to be stars in their own right but they're no Hakeem Olajuwon, Tim Duncan, LeBron James, etc.

Be that as it may, if Morey and the Rockets had wanted a higher pick (and therefore would have tried to tank), I'm sure it would have been to make any trade packages a little more eye catching.

Yep, just play the young guys and let them learn, if you win, great if you lose, so what?

Yea theres no difference between 6 and 8. Who needs Brandon Roy when you can get can superstar Shane Battier with the 8

Kobe Bryant was a 13th pick. If you have 12, you get Kobe, if not, you don't.

    Very important!

13th pick or 14th... Either or, I trust Morey will get the best player. And if he needs to trade up, then he has a lot of assets to make it happen.

yeah, but it's still a crap shoot.

I'm confident that Morey will roll well though.

It's realistic to move up to the 11th spot in a deep draft but honestly doubt we will be stuck at 13th or 14th anyway, Morey will make an effort to either trade up or trade the pick in a package.

I actually see him trying to deal whatever pick the Rockets end up with along with one of our current players under contract for something better (future 1st Rounder from a scrub team?).

Even Morey cannot roll Kobe without the 12th or 13th pick!!!

i'm not going to try to predict Morey.

I mean the only pick who hasn't really panned out of his was Joey "D League" Dorsey.

He won't be traded to Lakers cuz we have Morey, remember? Stay with the program.

    We need Kobe.

It depends, but I would rather trade the Knicks pick in 2 years....it might be better and it is further out for Minny....
