I like this, sets us up for a somewhat entertaining year and to be real players next summer.

Daryl Morey's task is as clear-cut as it is hard

I think if you don't get Conley and either Batum or Parsons, then you need to wait for next summer.

Patrick Beverley cannot be the starting point guard on a contending team.

And I don't think Ariza will work in Pringles offense. He is the antithesis of a point-forward

TIL Jerome Solomon can tell Daryl Morey, GM of the Houston Rockets, that he has to accept blame. Lmao. What a tool.

I dont see the Rockets going after any RFA's as they would have to way over pay to try to get the player and the over pay is not Morey's MO.

HASSAN WHITESIDE DOWN TO FEW TEAMS NO STATE INCOME TAX A HUGE FACTOR.
Which means he will choose between
    Heat
    Magic
    Rockets
    Mavericks
    Spurs

If id had to rank where he goes

    1. Heat
    2. Mavs
    3. Rockets

Mavs aren't interested in Howard(maybe less so with Parsons expected to leave)

Whiteside ain't coming to Houston. (Mavs? Lakers? Heat?)

He said he's making his decision July 1. We'll see.

We should be offering Whiteside the max first thing on the 1st. I think he could be even more valuable to the rockets than kd would have been. He provides defense and rebounding at an elite level, he is behind only DeAndre Jordan as the premier roll man in the nba, we need this guy.

I dont' like those news. So according to Feigen we will indeed go after Rhyno?
    Disgusting.

Also where do you ppl get your Whiteside news? I haven't seen a list of the teams he will meet and can't find it anywhere.

I hope some desperate teams like the Kings are going to offer him a max.

The Kings have now 5 Cs.
They are not interested they will go after Conley and Lee that Joerger knows them both.

They don't really have anything definitive. Just the usual "we suck, Morey sucks, why would anyone play here, we have tarnished the legacy of Hakeem Olajuwon" posters.

Whiteside did give an ESPN interview stating it would be nice to be chased rather than to be chasing.

Question: If you're the Rockets and you don't believe you'll be able to sign KD, Conley, or Horford, do you consider throwing a 1+1 Max to Dwight? There's inherent risk involved, but 1) you're not going to get a better player than Dwight so you at least remain competitive during Harden's prime, 2) it allows the team and Dwight to see how good the fit is with a new system, and 3) if he opts out next year, you hope that the team had a renaissance year and is in a better position to pursue top FAs.

I would be shocked if it happens - sounds like the team is prepared for Capela to start and I'm not entirely certain MDA wants Dwight - but I'd rather it play out like that than sign a couple mediocre players to major contracts.

Heat's Hassan Whiteside hoping to know team on July 1

    Whiteside - Lakers

    Whiteside - Mavericks

Definitely from Charlotte if they want to keep him. Probably could get it from other teams too.
