If we miss out on all the big fish, I'd rather kick the can down the road one more year and wait for next offseason, than over pay some role players.

Wow, 14x for Courtney Lee, more for Noah and Deng...18/20x for Anderson should be a given, fingers crossed and hope Morey can at least still pick the players he wants.
if we are going the quick and dirty (and i am very opposed to that), why not Rondo? last year he shot around 37% from 3; per 36 minutes he averaged 12 dimes, 6 boards, 2 steals, and 12 pts. A Rondo Harden back-court could be "special". Rondo's never gonna be mistaken for Steve Nash as a shooter, but his shooting has improved, he plays elite defense and runs the floor better than most of the league. I think he's finally recovered from his injuries and is primed for one of this his best years. He instantly upgrades our team in a significant way, and he'll cost a lot less than Conley (who in any other year is probably not a max guy). Thoughts?
Would be a good fix if not for the temperment. Rondo does not fit the locker room. He's older. Not as good defensively. Not as good at the FT line. Rubio is the better fit of the two players going forward the next 3-5 years.
Multiple teams would line up to offer Parsons the maximum, and there is a real possibility the Rockets will be one of those teams. The number of teams with maximum money available far exceeds the number of traditional maximum contract players. As a result, good starting players will receive maximum money. The issue with Parsons is two fold, his health is a concern, but more so it is his defense, which is very bad on the perimeter. He would be the worst defender on the Rockets. I think he would actually defend the 4 better.
Bring Parsons back, bring Lin back — back to the Rockets pre-Howard days and let Mike work his magic. I'm only joking...I think.
I read Lin is tired of moving wants a home.. I wonder how much money he will command. Plenty of money to be made for average players.
Would be better to get an agreement with him Thursday on a 2 year $3 million guaranteed deal with team option on year 3.
How much did you expect for Lee? I had him at 12-13 per. So I almost got it right if that is the final number. Don't be so sure that Deng will be more than 14 no matter what Wolfson says.
Ywp, i mean, Morey didn't want to pay him 15x, now he wants to pay him 23x? Nah, unless MDA and/or Le$ are going to run the show in free agency. Lol, we're all really depressed, this ****ing season...
$14 million per year for a guy who is working on back to back seasons of 11.5 PER. And has never been good in any way there. Sure, the PER likely underrates his defense, and he's an ok 3 point shooter. But if someone wants to pay him $14 million a year, that someone shouldn't be the Rockets. I really hope that if the Rockets can't land any big FA names, DM uses it as an opportunity to show Les they have to pursue a different strategy, as opposed to signing guys like Lee to $14 million, or Noah to $20 million a year. There's no way you sniff a championship like that.
