These are literally the only 2 people I've heard say that Harden is not worth a max contract this season. It's like they were waiting for him to have a poor game so they could go "See! We told ya he wasn't worth it!". Please....Harden's doing great. They act like Durant is in the same position as James Harden. Durant has SO much more talent/experience around him than Harden does. This is just lazy sports talk.
Harden isn't getting paid max money until next season. So unless Antonio Davis can see into the future his opinion is null & void.
His level of play to this point in the season is of a player who I think is on the cusp of deserving a max contract. But he's young (so a "max" contract for him isn't as expensive as it would be for a 30 year old veteran), and the Rockets are banking on him improving and becoming a player who is in the top 10 or top 15. In that case, a max contract is warranted.
A 23 year old shooting guard going to the line 10 times a game, scoring 25 points a game, with the second highest per at the shooting guard position is not worth the max? Okay Antonio Davis...... sure....
who??? I bet he ain't a max player either... so what. I've never seen so much hate about another players contract than with Lin and Harden's. I thought it was etiquette to stfu when it concerns other peoples money.
LOL! Davis should know because everytime he looks in the mirror he sees a guy who DEFINITELY wasn't worth the max! What a hypocrite!
