lowry should start but i think there gonna limit his minutes til hes 100% better so i think they'll have dragic start and lowry come off the bench til hes better. IMO
Don't really see "starter" status as some sort of reward for playing better. I like units and rotations. Stand by that with Martin in the starting lineup as well.
Both are amazing. Problem is they are minute-redundant. I wish we could turn one of them into a PF. Ppat took a big step back.. so has scola. could also use a SG.
I want my starting 5 to be the best defenders at their position. If it were up to me I'd start Dragic Lee Parsons Patterson Camby With Kmart, Kyle and Scola off the bench
I like Dragic. I like Lowry too I just feel we need to trade Lowry go with Dragic. His penetration ability is amoung the best in the league from the guard spot and he has a good overall game. Same could be said for Lowry. I like Dragic better But can't go wrong with either or
I started a thread on this, I feel stupid now. I am glad everyone is seeing what I. Am seeing Love that line!
So many on this board are so quick to want to demote/trade a guy that puts out maximum effort and great stats for a guy that has just been given an opportunity to start. It's disgusting. Unless you're being considerate of Kyle's illness, he is our starter. Dragic is great, but he is not a better player than Lowry. He certainly isn't a continual game changer like Kyle either. Watch, when Marcus Morris starts playing well, the douchelords will start suggesting we get rid of/demote Chandler.
Goran Dragic is taller, more athletic, creates better, and does pretty much everything Kyle does well...about the same except rebounding. Goran Dragic and Kyle are both good players, but give me the taller, more skilled player 100 times out of 100. Trade Kyle for an upgrade in our bigs department (Pau anyone - although Sessions might kill that he is really good too), and give the starting job to Goran, he has a much higher ceiling. DD
One difference I've noticed in their games is that Lowry will push the ball and try to get it to open teammates before the defense has time to set....even after made baskets. You don't see this too much with Dragic.
I disagree that Goran is better at creating opportunities for teammates. If anything, he over-dribbles and drives into the lane for a turnover, instead of making the simple pass to the open man. It happens game after game. He doesn't have the finishing capabilities of Kyle either, in terms of going strong to the basket. This could go on forever and like a poster wrote, it is VERY similar to the Brooks vs. Kyle debate that caused a rift. Kyle's ceiling is higher, too. I mean, if you consider how much he has improved his shooting after one summer, it's ridiculous. Kyle can easily become a CP3 type of player in another year or so. He has the skill set, the strength and desire. Goran is a serviceable starter when necessary, but he does not impact a given game the same way Kyle does.
Hasn't Scola been averaging like 20 points the past 7 games? He's playing the high post, so his rebounds have dropped, but his passing game's improved. Scola to Parsons is a thing of beauty.
