He can't be worse than Randy Moss was.

Smart move, should've accepted the lesser role here and retired without disgracing himself in Indy and Nashville.

Time to get that Ring of Honor started over at NRG.

First Arian, now Andre. Next you're gonna tell me Matt Schaub is joining them. ;)

Two of the best we had the pleasure of watching.

Looking forward to seeing Johnson in the HOF (& number retired)

Never recovered from the hamstring clip they did so he could play in the playoffs vs. the Bengals.

A Texans great. I hope he has a place in the organization.

Am I the only one still bitter about the way it ended here? I was so disappointed in him.

Terrible way for Andre to go out, but he did it to himself. The two players Texans fans were so upset about losing ended up doing nothing and retiring shortly thereafter.

Andre's reputation got tarnished quite a bit by the last few years, but he's got a solid chance at the HOF one day.

Wasn't a good end but that's not exactly uncommon in sports

You don't sleep with the enemy and you definitely don't fool around with an ex. He did both.

I was disappointed but then let it go. Kind of like with Tmac. Two guys who put it all on the line while they were here and were the franchise best for several years.

He was a standup guy through most of his career here when everything said he should have demanded more money and/or a trade (in an era where that was all too common). Although if not for his crazy uncle/agent he might have been in a better position to make demands.

We have enough to be down about as Houston sports fans. I'm can't let myself not appreciate Andre Johnson and let him into the hall of Houston sports fame.

Feel bad for dre. In his prime, a good to great quarterback would of put him up there with the greats. Texas gave him a contract but eventually screwed him on the field.

Matt Schaub was a very good quarterback for 3-4 years of his prime. Yes, he didn't have a HOF quarterback throwing to him but most players don't. I respect what he did on the field and for the franchise, but I don't consider him a consummate professional or a "class act" after the way he b****ed his way out of here at the end.

It's been dead, frankly. I've long argued his path was going to be rocky... not because I don't think he's worthy - I just don't think he's viewed as uber elite: he ran up numbers on bad teams; has no signature moments anyone outside of Houston will remember, and five years from now, his accomplishments will be swallowed whole by a host of WRs rewriting the record books - some of whom are his peers, honestly. And I beleive he'll now be classmates with Megatron and Wayne, and he'll be behind both.

He ranks 9th all-time in receptions; 10th in receiving yards; 40th in receiving TDs *as of today* - he won't rank there in five years. He's been on a winning team three times; playoffs twice. I think JJ Watt will get in before Andre does.
