Saw it coming up, but missed the performance. It'd be nice if she was the Whitney of old and kicked some ass.
I was flipping channels and thought it was a re-run of some old concert...kept flipping. She's so 1994.
Sorry, I thought more people would have seen it. On the World Music Awards she sang a medley ending with "I will always love you" and I thought it was one of the best TV moments ever. She looked healthy but nervous. And in spite of all of her problems and rumored addictions, she showed that she is still the most amazing singer the world has ever known. A little verbose? Maybe, but last night was either the re-birth of Whitney, or her last great performance. Either way, it was amazing.
Yeah she deserves all the jokes, hell she's earned them. I'm telling you T, last night she was all world!
She did look and sound good, here's the trick, stay like this and then we will know she is truely back.
She's a has-been who never was. I Will Always Love You was originally a Dolly Parton song, and Dolly does a helluva lot better job of performing it (and I don't even like country music). Whitney Houston took that song and RB'ed it to a repulsive level, destroying the song in the process. Whitney's a crack-head who married a crack-head, and they'll probably have crack-head babies. They belong in jail (or a crackhouse) and I certainly hope that this is the last time I have to hear of her. There. I said it. whew! -- droxford
Come on i'm not a big whitney fan either but to say that she "never was" is absurd. Out of curiosity who would you consider among the better singers of the late eighties and early nineties?
