While you've been fighting, the two of them have been working together. http://www.nba.com/rockets/news/point-counterpoint
Exactly, most teams have a decent PG, and a horrible backup PG. We have two who can interchange at starting and backup positions. And who may be able to play together. Having a three guard rotation with Harden means you don't have to overuse Harden until he breaks down.
A Lin fan having a problem with Beverley is kind of idiotic. Beverley doesn't determine playing time. Having a problem with McHale is perfectly reasonable, as arguing about line-ups and playing time is the go to fan response for any problem.
The problem for Lin is not Beverly. As a traditional pass-first PG, Lin is a much better player overall. The problem for a pass-first PG in the Rox team is that Harden demands the ball most of the time. Passing ability and creativity are not as important.
Great article, but please don't post Friedman's articles in their entirety. A few paragraphs and a link will suffice. That dude deserves the page hits.
Simple solution... have Jeremy Lin pass Harden a woman, and that will occupy Harden so Jeremy gets the ball.
Troll baiting thread title aside... What's interesting is the team's willingness to slide Lin to the 2-guard position. This is important because it would probably mean more rest for Harden(he basically has no backup beyond not-really-SG Garcia), as well as possibly near starter minutes for Beverley.
Hi NYKFan, so are you really a Knicks fan, or a Jeremy fan who followed him to the Rockets? Nothing personal, but I've hated the Knicks ever since John Starks/Patrick Ewing era...
pg bev sg lin sf harden pf parsons c howard this is similar to the delfino small ball lineup except a lot better
but harden is barely 6"4 and already smallish for a SG but now will be miniture for a SF. he will get posted up on and abused as defense was already his weakness so i dont see Lin/Bev for more than 3 mins a game if that
