Seen Edge of Tomorrow 3 times now and enjoyed it each time. Dawn I really liked, Apes are the real stars of the movie with some great characterization. Story is solid but nothing you haven't seen before if I'm being honest.

    Did not enjoy this movie.

Very boring and you don't connect with any characters, ape or human.

Actually I hated most of them and hoped a lot would die.

plot is driven by the ******* characters

The movie looks beautiful and the special effects are great, but the apes are almost too smooth. Takes away the wow factor.

Good facial expressions on the apes though.

are they smart or dumb? They learn to use guns but don't bother with medicine or electricity

I thought it was really easy to connect to the characters..

Great movie, makes humans reconsider priorities

Well that's what I was hoping for, but it didn't go there.

The only time was when it said that apes can live with nothing. No electricity, farming, medicine, etc.

But clearly that is not possible for humans.

I considered it along the lines of picking up a guy from the middle ages . . .and bringing him to today . .. he might not understand modern medicine . . but he could figure out a gun pretty quickly

that makes sense, but I think they mentioned it had been 10 years? They had pretty much zero technology. I'm sure there's a lot of human stuff lying around.

Also their emotions are very advanced. Completely human except for the need to have a leader that can beat every ape up.

Most 3D is crap unless it's something specifically filmed for it, like Avatar.

    Imo

i went to see it again

i still am hung up on how malcolm knew ceasar's name

the deer graphics were not easy to take in, i'm not going to nitpick the movie because i thought it was good overall but the battle scene, using a gun is difficult, using a gun accurately is even more difficult, using a gun accurately on horse back takes tremendous amounts of practice

I figured they cut a scene that had that information in it.
    [How he knew his name]
We'll see it in the directors cut

Saw it yesterday and enjoyed it. A bit of a lull around the halfway point of the movie, but it wasn't too bad.

Well this was the movie I had been waiting for all Summer...something truly special to come along. Other blockbusters have fallen just a little bit short of that, but this, this had a layer of complexity and emotion that other big films have failed to bring. Incredible performances, especially the apes.

My only holdup is that I wish Gary Oldman's character was fleshed out more and
I was expecting the humans to have a bigger hand in the conflict. Would have made more sense if Koba and that ******* human or Oldman both started the war for their side. I guess what's his name sort of did with shooting the ape in the beginning and hiding the shotgun, but there needed to be more there.

+2. The movie was 2.5 hours long and the pace just seemed way too slow. I didnt like the selection of Jason Clarke as Malcolm cause all I could picture him as was a moonshine drinking drunkard from lawless. Bad cast all around in my opinion.

The ultimate of the movie was when Koba was on the 50 cal of the tank and the camera pans around; capturing all the charging apes. That was really beautiful cinematography.
