lol. I was going to mention this but I'm just kidding. It is funny that multiple saying Orlando front office was meeting at 9ET to decide on accepting probably the Nets offer and that is the same time Morey decides to go on the radio circuit. Either Morey has totally given up or he figures let me do this radio stuff when I know Orlando front office is busy.
In a nutshell Morey is rebuilding and generating caps pace but if a star player comes around he will try to make a deal
"we're trying" "but it's hard in this league" "please be patient" "season tix packages are a way to show your support for what we're trying to do here" "everything i know, i learned by watching and studying the master, donald t. sterling"
LOL. Today and tomorrow are gonna be hillarious if you're a basketball guy. I can't wait to see what pops up next. Probably a Melo to Sacramento rumor.
listening to this guy it makes perfect sense why no one would want to play in HOU .. he doesn't care about anyone or anything.. what a POS thinks he high and mighty
ok...he just said something i really disagree with. He said, "We're gonna go after players. If we don't sign them, you shouldn't be upset about that. Nothing's lost but our time. So it's not a big deal." Ummmm..no. This would presume there is a plethora of players out there that he would call "stars." There's not. Each opportunity missed on a player (for whatever reason -- including you not wanting to give up your precious "flexibility") is an opportunity LOST. And it's more time that your product on the floor is nothing more than a collection of #assets...because you've been very clear that every move you've ever made since Yao went down was ultimately about acquiring a star. We have nothing to show in that effort whatsoever. I'm fine with a total rebuild. I'm fine with them sucking ass and playing young talent. I can live with that, because I see it as a necessity. It's part of the process. But the idea that the franchise really hasn't lost anything in all this mess? Give me a break. What most concerns me is the goal of preserving flexibilty at all costs...even if that costs us the chance at the star he says he's all about acquiring. Seems like the ultimate goal is preserving flexibility, and then hoping a star fits within that. I'm not sure it works that way.
